Highway Christian Church have continue to support the Ormeau Fair

Highway Christian Church held its first service in April 1995 to meet the perpetual and growing needs in our community. We have more than fifteen separate support groups and events most of which are weekly programs.

They cater for newborns, toddlers, children, youth, young adults, families, the elderly and the community at large.  We aim to help people learn how to do life well, have a place to share life’s problems with others, get personal counselling and support, build close relationships and friendships, with shared meals, family outings and youth can learn how to be contributing members of the community in a drug and alcohol free environment.

• Bi-annual Toddler Fun Days
• Annual Community Carols
• Harvest Care - community food distribution for the needy
• KidzKlub - two weekly off-premises kids clubs
• Weekly Community Breakfast
• Community Garden
• Weekly playgroup
• Weekly women’s meetings
• Monthly men’s steak nights
• Weekly RE in local schools
• Boost - weekly youth program for Grades 6-8
• Exit - weekly youth program for Grades 9 to age 24
• Urban - weekly program for ages
• Shine - for high school girls
• School breakfasts
• We also offer our auditorium to the community for:
